Request To Pay

The new boost for the cashless society

Discover the benefits

The SEPA Request to Pay (SRTP) scheme is the innovation that standardizes and digitizes the request for payment of a good or service directly from the beneficiary to the payer in Europe. Launched in 2021 and set to have a profound impact on the ongoing transformation of digital payments, it is currently being adopted by European operators.

Shared data, payments, and the european digital single market

The pan-European regulatory and legislative changes (driven by SEPA, PSD2, the ISO 20022 migration, and EU regulation 2024/886 on Instant Payments) involve the industrial and commercial payment models affecting banks and businesses, with cross-cutting impacts on processes, information structures, and business organization.

Digital services, open banking and finance, and the increase in operators are just some of the scenarios that suggest growth in the demand for agile and innovative payment services across the entire European economic area.

Request To Pay: applications

SRTP is the component that enables and streamlines the payment experience: by bridging the gaps between the request issuance, payment operation, and its reconciliation, it facilitates payments for both the payer and the creditor.

SEPA Request to Pay: a modular approach

We boast the highest level of expertise in collections and payments, gained over more than thirty years of experience in the banking and service center world, thanks to products, solutions, and projects in the area, delivered in collaboration with the development factory and operational teams at our clients' premises.

Our innovative proposals allow banks and outsourcers to maximize the benefits of the various applications of the Request To Pay scheme. Our approach is modular and based on several components that can be integrated according to our clients' needs:

  1. A next-generation platform for 24/7 management of messaging and connection with the inter-Service Provider system.
  2. New business modules that enrich the Bankpay Suite with value-added services, including:
    • The new portfolio advance module on RTP "pay later," which enables the bank to enhance its offering for businesses in the credit field
    • The invoice advance module, which introduces a new digital alert service for the debtor based on SRTP message exchange and the automatic reconciliation of payments with the advanced invoice
  3. Consulting and integration services for SRTP in other services and use cases.
